Rime of the Unvoiced

mute

In love he tried with all his might.

For things were inching towards benight

All kin around, yet none think akin

Caught was he, amisdt the right, wrought and skin

‘You need to talk’, sophists would retort

With all their blinders, where would he start?

The love and pain in layers he pent

Will slowly morph into rage, searching a vent

Slamming and kicking the non sensient

Signs of the monster that lie latent

All he needed was love and ears

Life life everywhere, not a soul to hear

With time and rust the flow would clot

Still none to heed, his layers would rot

How long can he wait to be heard?

And so he turned mum,hit hard by the truth:

Life life everywhere, not a soul to hear

Life life everywhere, not a soul to hear

The greatest speech will never be voiced

For now, his soul rests here!!
