Law of Attraction and Grounded Optimism: How to “Attract Success”

Ever felt that some people just attract luck?

Ever wondered how few people stay successful in all their endeavors?

“What you have become is the result of what you have thought.”

Gautama Buddha

In ancient times, at the height of learning and knowledge, many philosophers expressed similar ideas. Prior to Socrates, the prevailing thought in Greece was that a person’s belief alone was strong enough to shape reality. It is also a basic tenet of many of the major religions that beliefs shape our reality.

How often have you heard the phrase “You reap what you sow”  ?

You wouldn’t find a single religious text that doesn’t talk about “KARMA” and we often read it like a warning.

On closer observation, it is no warning, but a KEY to SUCCESS.

Often referred to as “Law Of Attraction”, one can often find its presence in the success stories of almost all highly influential people of our millennia.

In his book “The Law Of Success”, Napoleon Hill published the result of more than twenty years of research on his close association with a large number of individuals who achieved great wealth and fame during their lifetimes. He studied the characteristics of these achievers and developed 16 “laws” of success intended to be applied by anybody to achieve success. He later published “Think and Grow Rich”, which condenses these laws further and provides the reader with 13 principles in the form of a philosophy of personal achievement.

It can be easily inferred that people with Desire, Faith, and Persistence can reach great heights by eliminating all negative energy and thoughts, in other words “Being purposefully optimistic would attract desired outcomes”

A very well known and well documented example of the law of attraction is the Placebo Effect .
Doctors often use this method, in which a patient is given an inert pill and is told that it may improve his/her condition, but not told that it is inert. Such an intervention may cause the patient to believe the treatment will change his/her condition; and this belief may produce a subjective perception of a therapeutic effect. The success rate of this method is way too commendable especially considering the fact that the pill was inert.

The belief that the patient had , the thought that he/she has taken a pill that would cure his/her condition ends up curing it .

Similarly, to be successful you first have to believe that you will be successful, because thought precedes physical form and that action of mind plants that nucleus which, if allowed to grow undisturbed, will eventually attract to itself all the conditions necessary for its manifestation in outward visible form.

Knowing “what to do” is always the easy part, getting yourself to follow through is what that gives hiccups and that’s precisely what this post will help you overcome.

Just being positive/optimistic isn’t enough, what you need is GROUNDED OPTIMISM

Which means

expecting to succeed, while
realizing that you will likely bump up against some
challenges along the way”

We ought to pragmatic while being optimistic, thus, we set realistic expectations around our goals which would enable us to identify any possible challenges in advance and we are well prepared ahead of time. This would eventually mute the effects of any hurdle when it presents itself.

So always remember

  1. 1.    Expect to succeed

From building a business to weight loss or even quitting an
addiction, people who truly, 100% believe they’ll
succeed are much more likely to follow through with the
actions needed to reach their goals.
This fact has been proven again and again by many of the
thousands of people around the world who succeed with the
Law of Attraction, and also has been demonstrated in various
studies.
You truly become the person you think you will be, so start
expecting the exceptional

“After all, thoughts are Energy, and all energy can attract or repel energy!

Basic Quantum Physics!”  Right?

2.    Expect challenges and difficulty ,be prepared

Perennial optimism is good provided you stay grounded to reality. Stop seeing challenges as pain points, let go that belief right away because if everything is going smooth and hassle free we are definitely not on the right path . Let me remind you am not talking negative here, am positively looking at how to overcome anything that gets in your way.

Apparently, no matter how positively you affirm yourself, if you don’t believe the same it’s of no use. To build that trust on yourself you ought to realistically assess potential problems before they happen.

  1. OMG! This is exactly my motto in life. I am always so optimistic that even if something negative does happen, I won’t even believe it. I mean, it won’t really affect me. You know, my husband, mom, sis, they all come to me when they feel sad, or maybe anxious because I never utter a negative word. I am a big fan, Ronda Bryne’s secret, I believe thinking positive and not worrying about the nos and can’ts will always get you where you want to be. It has always worked for me, my faith in god plus my faith in the positive energy that surrounds me. I also believe, there is a guardian angel protecting me! 😛
